From Sean Whiteley and
www.memletics.com
Hi everyone! Here's the December 2003 Newsletter from Memletics.com. In
this newsletter I:
- Let you know what’s been happening at Memletics.com since the last
newsletter.
- Advise on Christmas shopping for Memletics.
- Announce two new FREE services launched in the past month.
- Provide some links to recent research articles on the brain, memory
and learning.
- Provide some tips on creating assertions from the Memletics Manual.
- Advise of site updates and coming features at Memletics.com.
Recently at Memletics.com...
We've been busy creating two unique services for the web in general (see
the new site updates below), plus getting some "behind the scenes" functions
working better. We've moved our order delivery time from 24 hours to less
than 1 hour for the electronic versions of the Memletics Manual.
The Memletics Manual reader base by over 120% since the last newsletter
and added readers from several new countries - we now have readers in 50
countries! We've also had over 800 people use the new learning styles test
in the past few weeks.
Christmas shopping...
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that shipments of the printed version
of the Memletics Manual will reach you by Christmas. However, you can obtain
the electronic formats of the Manual within 30 minutes after your order. If
you are looking for some great holiday reading, try the
Memletics Manual!
Note: As each Manual is customized with your name and order information,
we can't provide gift purchases at present.
Two new services based on Memletics...
Over the past month we've added two major new services to our
content-specific portals:
- At
http://www.learning-styles-online.com/inventory we've created a unique
and free online learning styles test. It's the only one we know of that
has 70 questions you can answer online, see your results in a graph, and
compare your results with peers and groups. In the past few weeks more
than 800 people have already discovered their styles using this service!
- At
http://www.accelerated-learning-online.com/research we've added over
14,000 pages in our research section. These are research article abstracts
on the brain, memory and learning. There's much information arranged into
110 topics from association to visual perception, and you can use keyword
searching to find relevant articles!
Accelerated learning news items
Taken from

research article abstracts looking at the brain, memory and learning:

New testimonial for Memletics
Here's an extract from a reader's review posted to the site in the last
week. Michael is a mature-age university student studying psychology.
I want to encourage anybody who is thinking of getting this course
to do so without haste. I have never seen such a well researched and thought
out program ANYWHERE. This is a complete manual on the art of
studying-nothing is left out. The great thing about Memletics is the
effectiveness in learning the material. I am a psychology major and it is
very important for me to learn this information. My career will depend on
it. Memletics showed me how to reduce my study time, and yet gain a deeper
understanding of the material I am learning. This in turn causes me to
remember the information long term, which I need out of my studies in order
to be successful.

Assertion tips - creating powerful affirmations
In Memletics we redefine affirmations to create a more powerful technique
- assertions. These are some general principles for creating assertions:
- Use first person. Use "I" and "my." Phrase your assertion so
you are the focus.
- Be positive. Use firm, powerful statement that something is
already so. Avoid using negatives. For example, use "I make eye contact
with the audience" rather than "I never forget to make eye contact with
the audience." The mind has an uncanny ability to ignore the "never" part
of your phrase, and it becomes "I forget to make eye contact with the
audience."
- Be present. Phrase all your assertions like you have already
achieved the outcome you want. For example, use "I make clear and correct
radio calls," rather than "I will make clear and correct radio calls."
- Use short and medium length assertions. Short assertions such
as "I am an expert surgeon" and "I learn quickly and easily" provide an
overall positive approach to your training. You can use longer assertions
to focus on specific training needs. For example, "During presentations I
have good eye contact with all parts of the audience." Try to keep
assertions to less than four to five seconds when read aloud.
- Be rhythmic. For shorter assertions, using rhythm and rhyme can
help you memorize the assertion and increase its effectiveness. For
example "Better every day in every way."
This material is from the Techniques chapter of the Memletics Manual.

Site Updates
Most of the recent changes have been at our two content portals,
http://www.accelerated-learning-online.com and
http://www.learning-styles-online.com. This includes
A major "behind the scenes" update has been improving the order delivery
time for ebooks from 24 hours to less than 1 hour. In most cases the ebook
is created and available for download within 15 minutes.
Coming features
We're still working on changing the PDF password - our plan is to have
this feature available by the end of January. We'll be adding further
enhancements to our two content portals, as well as updating parts of the
memletics.com site. If you have any comments or suggestions for new features
(we're always looking for new ideas to help you learn better), please reply
via the contact details at
http://www.memletics.com/about/contact.asp
Request for links and comments - help us achieve the Memletics vision
If you believe Memletics is valuable, please consider how you can help
more people learn about it. It's our vision to provide accelerated learning
information to as many people as possible, and to use revenue from the
Manual to fund further research (see our research projects at
http://www.memletics.com/about/research.asp).
A few ways you can help out include:
- Tell others about Memletics. If you haven't yet purchased the
Memletics Manual, we'll give you a discount of up to 50% if you tell your
friends and colleagues about the manual.
- Link to us. If you have your own website, consider adding a
link to us. All links help improve our search engine ranking, which means
more people will find out about Memletics.
- Join our affiliate program. We'll pay you a commission for each
person you refer who ends up buying a book. See
http://www.memletics.com/gd/affiliateprogram.asp
- Provide comments and/or reviews. If you don't believe Memletics
is as valuable as it could be, then please let us know about it. We
welcome any and all feedback, positive or negative. It helps us update the
system to be more useful for everyone.
Thanks very much - and future readers of Memletics will thank you also!
