In late 2004, Louise Upshaw-McClenny (on right) approached us with a challenge. Louise is a Houston-based
trainer and she was planning a training course for 20 business executives for the following
week. I asked her a few questions on her experience. Here's
what she said.
How did you find our website, and what were your first impressions?
Through a Google search for “learning styles”. The site was clear and concise and easy to
navigate. It provided easy direct access to the type of information I was seeking (on
different learning styles).
What helped you decide to use the Learning Styles system?
The fact that it offered a simple and cost-effective way to test people for their learning
styles with immediate results. It also has succinct, easily-understood descriptions of the
different styles. Sean provided quick, friendly, professional service – communication with him
was efficient and enjoyable. I was working with a very short time-frame and he pulled
everything together for me easily and efficiently. His follow-up and interest in the success
of my project were terrific.
Describe the experience.
I was searching for information on different learning styles at the request of a client. My
company designs and facilitates customized training programs for a wide variety of
service-based businesses. This client wanted their salespeople to understand different
learning styles so they connect more effectively with potential and existing customers. I
found the Memletics site and quickly saw that its approach and information was exactly what I
needed. Within a matter of 3 days, I was able to have all the training participants tested,
and their results delivered to me to compile and insert into training workbooks. I used the
detailed information on the website to design my workshop content and held a very effective,
successful training program. The Memletics information provided the source for a series of
exercises and case studies that created a highly interactive training program.
The Memletics Learning Styles Report contains several pages of dynamic

What value do you feel the service provided your clients?
My client was specifically looking for a training program that would instruct their
salespeople on how to interact with potential customers more effectively by understanding
different learning styles. Memletics’ testing model and clear, concise reporting of the tests’
results provided the perfect vehicle for doing this.
What value do you feel the service provided you?
The knowledge I’ve gained from Memletics about learning styles has helped me in interactions
with clients and seminar participants. I also hope to partner with Memletics for future
programs similar to the one we undertook last fall; many of my clients would benefit from this
information. (I’ve also applied this information personally, helping my two school-aged
children understand their learning styles and apply it to their study habits.)
What would you say to others considering using the service?
I would strongly encourage anyone interested in this type of information to go to the
Memletics website and learn about their services. My experience with them was very positive
and enjoyable.

How it worked. To deliver the learning styles reports to Louise, we set her up with a
Memletics Volume
account. This allowed her to test 20 clients for only US$140
total. We established the account for her on Thursday, she instructed the participants to do
the test on Friday, and we delivered the reports to her on the weekend.
